The Gorgeous Battlefield 3 Joins the PSN Plus Instant Game Collection

July 2, 2013

I’m certainly not the biggest FPS fan in town, but I do enjoy the occasional Rush match in EA’s lovely Battlefield 3. It’s by far my favorite shooter to date, ignoring the Unreal Tournament series. For the month of July, PlayStation Plus subscribers will have access to Battlefield 3 and a number of other titles for free as part of the service’s enticing Instant Game Collection. Other highlights for the month include the sassy skating title Jet Set Radio and the uhm…odd adventure Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee HD, both playable on the PS3.

Scroll down for the full list of titles joining the Instant Game Collection:

  • Battlefield 3 (PS3) – $39.99, Free for PS Plus members
  • Metal Slug XX (PSP, works on Vita) – $19.99, Free for PS Plus members
  • Jet Set Radio (PS3) – $9.99, Free for PS Plus members
  • Dokuro (PS Vita) – $13.99, Free for PS Plus members
  • Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee HD (PS3) – $9.99, Free for PS Plus members

Furthermore, July will be the last month for subscribers to enjoy the following freebies:

  • July 2nd – Deus Ex: Human Revolution
  • July 9th – Joe Danger 2 The Movie
  • July 16rd – The Cave
  • July 23rd – Germinator
  • July 30th – Zero’s Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward

Zero Escape alone is probably worth the price of a PSN Plus subscription.
