GolemLabs and THQ Nordic released their Medieval simulation game The Guild 3 on Steam today through Early Access, and put out a new cinematic trailer that shows off the game’s world to celebrate. In addition, the developers also gave a road-map of what new content they will be adding to the game throughout the rest of the year.
The developers have stated that they plan keeping The Guild 3 in Early Access for about half a year, though that may vary depending on how much feedback the community gives. A majority of the game’s content is already available in this Early Access build of The Guild 3, but the developers want the community’s feedback when they are in the final stretches of balancing and completing the game. That being said, while the game is currently $29.99, the price will increase to a currently undisclosed amount once The Guild 3 leaves Early Access.
GolemLabs is also being quite open already about what they want to add to the game, and the released a road map of what they plan on adding through three major updates on October 26, November 23, and December 21. The first update will include new winning conditions, new trading objectives, reworked UI, and two new maps based off of Visby and Vienna.
The second update in November will add the substantial multiplayer mode to The Guild 3, which will allow up to sixteen people to play together on a single map. It will also make some modifications to the game’s AI, and add two more maps based off of Mazovia and Paris.
Finally, the biggest update for The Guild 3 is the third one in December, which will let players destroy or buy buildings throughout the world, add new “Sovereign Actions” for players, many new balances and buildings, and two new maps based off of Hansa and the Netherlands. Multiplayer-wise, players will be able to during up during matches, and be able to vote on which certain aspects of games are present beforehand.
