It looks like slaying vampires and monsters will be put on hold until May 22nd, for Nerdcore has delayed The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing 2 to ensure that its fans have the best experience possible.

Well, we could blame the supernatural or the bad Vrikolak meat in the fridge, but the truth is, we want to release a superb game as polished as possible on release and that will take a little longer than we thought. We want to make sure the sequel is superior to the first game in every aspect and it keeps you nailed to your chairs all the way to the end with its engaging new story. Now the new date will also mark the anniversary of the first game’s release and make our developers sweat blood in advance for the third!

When the game finally does release, players will have the opportunity to continue the slaughter as they choose one of three class types: proficient Hunter, the magic-savvy Thaumaturge and the Arcane Mechanic.

Fans of the original will be happy to know that Lady Katarina will return and will also have the ability to partake in co-op campaign or PvP mode that will support up to eight players.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing 2 will release for PC via Steam.
