It appears that even after a few months after release The King of Fighters XIV is not losing any steam, especially in its homeland of Japan. An arcade port was announced during the closing ceremonies of a fighting tournament that, unsurprisingly, was to find the king (or queen) of the game.

The event showed off the NESiCAxLive 2 system which will allow impressive network play for KOF XIV: Japanese arcade goers will be able to play with other cabinets anywhere in the country when it releases. There's no word when this port will be available but Taito did mention that more information would come with the Japanese Amusement Expo in February 2017.
