It's been a rumour and hope for many but according to a leaker, The Last of Us Factions 2 and more from God of War will be shown at this year's PlayStation Showcase.

Fans have been waiting with bated breath for more news on Naughty Dog's The Last of Us 2 multiplayer ever since they told players that the add-on wouldn't be coming with the base game. The studio is notorious for keeping fans in the dark but maybe today's PlayStation Showcase is the prime time to shed some light on how "Factions 2" is coming along?

YouTuber

" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Moore's Law is Dead otherwise known as Tom, has recently made claims in a video (via Wccftech) where they discuss possible leaks that could be shown at the PlayStation Event. Tom talks about the possibility of a God of War: Ragnarok gameplay being showcased in which he seemed pretty certain about.

Getting some more details on the next instalment for God of War wouldn't be too much of a surprise if it does happen since it's been a long time coming and all we saw was a very short teaser last year. He then went onto talk about The Last of Us Part 2's Multiplayer mode and how he expects it to receive a reveal but unlike God of War: Ragnarok, Tom wasn't 100% sure if it would or not.

This would certainly be the best time to showcase both of these games as, to be frank, it's been far too long to not have shown something at this stage. Of course, due to COVID-19, development has been up in the air with many devs trying their best to work from home but here's hoping we will get some details today, even if it's just for Cory Barlog and Neil Druckmann's Twitter mentions where they're constantly pestered for info.

The PlayStation Showcase 2021 takes place on Thursday, 9th September at 1:00pm PT / 4.00pm EST / 9:00pm BST.
