Bella Ramsey, who will star in the upcoming TV adaptation of Naughty Dog's The Last of Us, has responded to a fan begging her to make Pedro Pascal play the original game from start to finish.

After it was confirmed that The Last of Us would be adapted into a TV series by HBO, fans were reluctant about who would be cast in the leading roles of Joel and Ellie. HBO then confirmed that the iconic characters would be played by Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, as well as stars such as Nick Offerman also set to appear.

The Last of Us is one of the biggest video game series of all time, which means knowing the source material should be of the utmost importance when taking on such a task. Of course, we want all want the show to stand on its own two legs instead of being a complete copy and paste of the games, but fans have still been begging for Pedro Pascal to play the game from start to finish for quite some time.

Bella Ramsey Responds To The Last of Us Fan

A Twitter user and Last of Us fan recently responded to Bella Ramsey begging for her to make Pedro Pascal play the whole game, to which Ramsey issued her response as to why that's not going to happen.

In her response, Ramsey began with a shrugging emoji and then said "I would but he has no gaming skillz". Although Pascal is an incredible actor and we have no doubt he'll do a superb job as Joel, it's clear that The Mandalorian star has no interest in gaming.

But, with that being said, Pascal did state in an interview with GQ that he did attempt to play the game but quickly realised he had no "skill" and passed the controller to his nephew. The actor said, "It really takes a specific kind of skill, and I don’t have it".

Pascal went on to say that he watched his nephew play for as long as he could and that he found Joel "so impressive", but was worried he would attempt to imitate the character too much if he continued to watch.

HBO's The Last of Us series is currently on track for a 2023 release, with shooting still taking place all over the United States.
