Naughty Dog's action-adventure game The Last of Us is one of the most beloved video games in the last 10 years. So much so, a TV show based on the game is currently in development, and people are excited. One fan showed their enthusiasm for The Last of Us HBO series with some impressive fan art and trailer that even garnered the approval of the game's Creative Director Neil Druckmann.

Oly Gibbs, Senior Designer and Art Director at the Empire Design, flaunted the posters he created based on The Last of Us HBO series on Twitter. Using the pose from The Last of Us Remastered cover art, the fan-made poster shows Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones) and Kaitlyn Dever (Booksmart) as Joel and Ellie respectively. The second poster uses a stylized Firefly logo that appears to be under a microscope. Both use the tagline, "It can't be for nothing," a quote Ellie makes in The Last of Us game.

If that wasn't enough, Gibbs animated that second poster and made an awesome teaser trailer for The Last of Us HBO series. Neil Druckmann, one of the minds behind The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part 2, was even impressed, and retweeted the video saying, "I'd watch it."

The Last of Us HBO series was announced earlier this month with Chernobyl's Craig Mazin and Druckmann behind the project. Production on the series is expected to begin after The Last of Us Part 2 launches for PS4 on May 29. A cast has yet to be announced, but Coster Waldau and Dever have been a favorite amongst fans, as well as Hugh Jackman (Logan) and Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones).

If you are excited for The Last of Us HBO series and want to familiarize yourself with Joel and Ellie's adventure, The Last of Us Remastered is available for PS4 right now.
