The Last of Us Official Podcast Debuts Its First Episode with Troy Baker, Ashley Johnson, and More

Hosted by Christian Spicer, the first episode of the official The Last of Us podcast dives into the making of the acclaimed series.

With just over a week to go until its launch, anticipation for The Last of Us Part II is only continuing to build even higher. The next chapter of Joel and Ellie’s story already seems like it will be one that is hard to forget, and thankfully we won’t have too much longer to wait until we can experience it. Alongside the game’s release next week, PlayStation’s official Last of Us podcast will give a deeper look into what has made the series so memorable and affecting over the next two months.

As previously announced, PlayStation has released the first episode of The Official The Last of Us Podcast, which is a limited series that will detail the development and behind-the-scenes stories of making the acclaimed Naughty Dog games. The eight-episode podcast series, which is hosted by comedian/podcaster Christian Spicer, will release new episodes every Tuesday and feature an assortment of guests involved with the game from Naughty Dog and elsewhere.

The first episode of the series is now live on various podcast platforms, with Spicer joined by Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann and Anthony Newman, alongside Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson. In this installment, the group reflects on the memorable opening hours of TLOU and how the game has continued to make an impression well after its release. In the following episodes, more guests are set to appear on the podcast including series composer Gustavo Santaolalla, alongside other members of the game’s voice cast such as Laura Bailey, Shannon Woodward, and Ian Alexander to discuss both the original game and the upcoming TLOU Part II.

The Official The Last of Us Podcast is available now from digital podcast providers such as Apple Podcasts and Google Podcasts, and will release new episodes every Tuesday. You can listen to the first episode below from Stitcher:
