The Last of Us Part 1 Remake is supposed to be launched on PC later this month, and while we thought it would be a Naughty Dog product or at least a port from Sony's internal studio Nixxes, the PC version has reportedly been developed by Iron Galaxy.

While there hasn't been an official announcement, Naughty Dog recently updated its blog post for the system requirements of the PC version of The Last of Us Part 1 Remake, and it now includes an image where you can spot Iron Galaxy's logo at the bottom. The original image, which was posted on Twitter, did not include Iron Galaxy.

Sony's own studio, Nixxes, has ported many PlayStation games to PC, including the acclaimed port of Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered. While it was expected the studio would be handling Sony's high-profile ports, it would appear Iron Galaxy is responsible for The Last Of Us Part 1 Remake on PC.

One point of discussion regarding the remake is its pretty demanding system requirements. In order to play The Last of Us Part 1 Remake at 60 FPS/4K, you will need a top-end card, like the RTX 4080.

Similar to Nixxes, Iron Galaxy has a long track of porting games from consoles to PC and vice versa, but the studio's infamous Batman: Arkham Knight port on PC was received quite poorly. The team was also behind the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection PC port, which is noted to have had some serious issues at launch.

That being said, Iron Galaxy also had some stellar projects in the past, including the assistance they provided for Retro Studios in delivering Metroid Prime Remastered, which turned into a critical success for Nintendo Switch.

Aside from helping other studios, Iron Galaxy has also developed a number of triple-A titles. The studio's most recent game was Rumbleverse, which was launched on Epic Games Store as a free-to-play battle royale experience, but failed to gain traction, resulting in the announcement that servers are shutting down.
