There's nothing like some undiscovered easter eggs that unravels a totally new side to a popular game.

If you remember back at the start of the year in January, YouTuber Anthony Caliber stubbled across a weird easter egg as he played through The Last of Us. The reason it was so strange is the lengths you had to go to for it to unveil itself to the player. That's, of course, not uncommon as, after all, easter eggs are usually well hidden and stashed into the nooks and crannies of a game waiting for the player to uncover it.

Just when we thought we knew everything there was to know about The Last of Us part 2 nearly eight months on from its release, someone has managed to find an easter egg that links the title to Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and how both of their worlds are a lot smaller than previously thought; even the possibility of a shared universe.

What is exactly is this easter egg?

The Easter egg in question is a bottle of pills belonging to an old woman. These pills are found in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End or to be more specific, Chapter 16 - A Brothers Drake. As you can see from the image, the name of the store the meds come from is called 'Westons Pharmacy'. If you have been paying close attention to The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part 2, you'll know that the pharmacy is also found throughout both of those titles.

Where can the pharmacy be found in The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part 2?

Weston Pharmacy can be found in The Last of Us Left Behind DLC where a young Ellie and her friend Riley take some time to explore this store after escaping together. In The Last of Us Part 2 during The Seraphites chapter as Ellie makes her way to the hospital, Weston's Pharmacy is an optional location and when found, Ellie can open a safe inside the pharmacy that holds a safe full of goodies.

Is the Last of Us and Uncharted 4 set within the same universe?

I think the only person who could honestly answer that without the doubt of rumours and easter eggs is Neil Druckmann, but the evidence is there that they either do indeed share the same world or at least share the same pharmacy chain. This isn't the first time that a reference of this manner has shown up. In Uncharted 3, a newspaper in a bar could be seen that teased the arrival of The Last of Us, roughly two years before The Last of Us even launched on the PS3.
