Ahead of its launch in just a few short months, Naughty Dog and Sony today announced when the general public will finally get able to get its hands on The Last of Us Part II for the very first time.Over on the PlayStation Blog, Naughty Dog revealed that those who are attending PAX East 2020, which is set to take place in Boston, MA, later this month starting on February 27, will finally be able to play The Last of Us Part II for themselves. The game will be playable at Sony's booth during the convention and, as mentioned before, will mark the first time that TLOU2 has been playable to the public. Naughty Dog themselves stated that this was quite fitting considering PAX East was also the venue in which they first allowed fans to play the original The Last of Us back in 2013.The only downside to getting to play The Last of Us Part II at PAX is that you'll have to sign-up for a play session through Sony's Experience PlayStation app. Slots should appear on the app for you to sign-up for an appointment to play the game. Then you'll just need to show up to Sony's booth during your session to play the demo. The reason that this is a negative though, at least in my own experience, is that the Experience PlayStation app doesn't always work properly. Best of luck to you if you try to snag your own appointment via that application. It can definitely be a headache.

In addition to announcing this demo opportunity today, Naughty Dog also revealed a variety of other details about The Last of Us Part II. For starters, the Ellie Edition of the game will soon be getting a restock and will be available for pre-order again. Additionally, a variety of other art prints and collectible statues are currently available for pre-order leading up to the launch of the game later this year. If you're a major fan of TLOU, you may want to check out some of these goodies for yourself.

And last but not least, there is also a new dynamic theme for The Last of Us Part II available on PS4 right this moment. The theme changes depending on the time of the day and features two different images of Ellie from the game. If you'd like to learn how to download this theme for yourself, additional details are over on the PlayStation Blog right now.

The Last of Us Part II will launch later this year on May 29, 2020, exclusively on PS4.
