The Last of Us Part II Confirmed to Appear During Next State of Play
Rumors indicate that we'll find out when The Last of Us Part II will be releasing during this stream.
Following the announcement of a new State of Play livestream slated for next Tuesday, today, it was confirmed that Naughty Dog’s upcoming title The Last of Us Part II will indeed be appearing during the presentation.
As shared by the game’s director Neil Druckmann today on Twitter, he revealed that news on the highly-anticipated sequel will indeed be divulged during State of Play. “We’ve been silent for too long. It’s time to put an end to that,” Druckmann said in his tweet. This public presentation of The Last of Us Part II will also cross over with a private briefing that Naughty Dog will also be holding for members of the media next week.
So the question is: just what will we see of The Last of Us Part II during State of Play? Well, previous rumors have told us that Naughty Dog and Sony are set to reveal the game’s launch date during this presentation, which would surely please many fans. Murmurings have also indicated that The Last of Us Part II is scheduled to launch in February 2020, but of course, those rumors haven’t been proven to be true just yet. Internal launch dates also change quite frequently, so that window could have easily shifted by now if it was once in the cards.
No matter what Naughty Dog and Sony have to share on The Last of Us Part II, it’s incredibly exciting that we’re finally getting some more news on the game. We’ll share this new information with you here on DualShockers once State of Play transpires next week.
