The Last of Us Part II's Story Trailer Has Arrived
Joel and Ellie take center stage in the latest trailer for The Last of Us Part II prior to next month's arrival.
As it was promised yesterday, Sony and Naughty Dog today released a new trailer for The Last of Us Part II.
This new trailer for the game is being referred to as a story trailer, and as such, it shows off a handful of moments from the narrative of The Last of Us Part II. The trailer is only a little over two minutes in length and it prominently features Joel, Ellie, and a few other characters from the series. There are also some new clips of gameplay sprinkled in throughout the video, all of which continue to look pretty great.
It’s worth noting that if you’re trying to go in blind on before the release of The Last of Us Part II and are worried that this trailer might contain major spoilers, I would say that you shouldn’t have to worry. As someone who has already had certain portions of the game spoiled (thanks leakers) there really doesn’t seem to be anything worthwhile from this sequel that is divulged in this trailer. It’s more of a tone piece than anything else.
Additionally, it’s worth noting that all of the screenshots for The Last of Us Part II that released a little over a month ago and were then promptly taken down by Sony seem to stem from this trailer. All of those images make an emergence somewhere in this video, with each getting just a little bit more context than before.
If you’d like to watch the trailer, you can find it attached above. The Last of Us Part II is set to launch next month on June 19, exclusively on PS4. Naughty Dog also recently announced that the game has now gone gold, too, meaning that this release date will now absolutely be met.
