It seems there's a fair few issues with music and copyrights of late. Twitch streamers are getting DMCA'd and Naughty Dog not long came under fire for using a song without permission for a recent The Last of Us Part 2 trailer.The official extended commercial trailer for The Last of Us Part 2 released on June 3, in it, Ellie performs a cover of a song called "True Faith". A few days later a musician known as Anna-Lynne Williams pointed out that the song used was "a replica" of their cover which released "10 years ago". She clarified that "I wrote original parts not in the original song that are copied exactly by whoever covered it."However, her tweet calling Naughty Dog out has since been deleted. Most likely due to Neil Druckmann, vice president of Naughty Dog apologizing for the situation. In a tweet, he writes, "Ellie's rendition of “True Faith” was inspired by Lotte Kestner's haunting cover of the song." adding that, "Due to an oversight on our end, she wasn't credited as intended. Our deep apologies -- we are rectifying this ASAP. "

Anna-Lynne Williams originally said in the now-deleted tweet. "I am heartbroken" and wanted credit or compensation. It seems matters have been resolved after she tweeted, "So proud this music has found a home in such an amazing project."

The Last of Us Part 2 is growing closer to its launch next week and has surpassed God of War in pre-orders in Brazil. We've also learned the game is said to be around 25-30 hours long, and will be Naughty Dog's most accessible game to date. And once the game launches, Naughty Dog doesn't know what it will develop after.

You can get The Last of Us Part 2 on June 19 exclusively for PS4.
