Developer Naughty Dog may be heading home for the holidays, but both developers and voice actors are mulling over the latest-recorded scene of The Last of Us Part II. While the game's Director Neil Druckmann already chimed in on the scene, we now have some feedback from Ellie's voice actress Ashley Johnson on the scene.Earlier this week, Druckmann shared an image from one of the recording sessions. According to Druckmann, this is "one of the most complicated and heart wrenching [scenes]" not only for The Last of Us series, but for developer Naughty Dog as a whole.

Only a day later, Ellie's voice actress--Ashley Johnson--weighed in on the recording session as well on Instagram. Noting how it was the last recording session before the Holiday season, Johnson made it a point to note that the scene was "some heavy, heavy stuff."

On the other side of this though, we get some positive notes about the scene and shooting:

My body’s tired, but man oh man, my heart is full.

It's all based in generalities, but there is no doubt we should be expecting a lot of emotional complexity in The Last of Us Part II.

While Johnson is likely celebrating the holidays in her own way, you can bring some The Last of Us cheer into your life with the recently-revealed two hour long yule log-themed car burning video. Or skip that altogether and just download the new dynamic theme to celebrate the occasion.

Earlier this week, The Last of Us Part II had a rumored release date leak... but as we mentioned in our coverage of it, you can feel free to ignore the obvious placeholder date.

The Last of Us Part II will be coming exclusively to PlayStation 4, but doesn't yet have a release window.
