With the game having been out for over a month, The Last of Us Part II finally gave longtime fans of the series the next chapter in the journey of its beloved characters. Notably, Part II gave us a much deeper look at Ellie in her search for revenge, now older and a more hardened survivor in the game's post-apocalyptic world. Fans have taken to sharing their own interpretations and creations of the themes and characters from TLOU Part II, including one that shows Ellie with highly-detailed pixel art.

Catherine (@_einzbern on Twitter) highlights the more ruthless version of Ellie that we see in The Last of Us Part II with an impressively-made pixel art animation. Notably, the animation has drawn several comparisons to the style of Street Fighter's character animations, and even the game's director Neil Druckmann himself noted this as a fan of Super Street Fighter II. Catherine also mentioned (hopefully) putting together an animated illustration of Abby as well to go along with Ellie.

Several pieces of fan art and other creations have made their way online since the release of TLOU Part II that capture some of its poignant and emotional moments. This includes a striking illustration of Ellie and Dina, some creative song covers with the game's guitar, and a near perfect fan recreation of the game's collection of trading cards. While the game's story hits hard, the creations for TLOU Part II are worth taking a look at.

The Last of Us Part II is available now exclusively for PS4.
