Naughty Dog just announced that The Last of Us Remastered will get a full blown patch today. The patch, numbered 1.02, will weigh 142 mb and should alleviate further the problems with long matchmaking queues.

While the patch might not fix the problem fully, the developer promised to continue monitoring matchmaking times in order to improve the issue further with future updates.

In the meanwhile, they also posted a suggestion for those still suffering from long waits before a match:

if you’ve found yourself waiting what you feel is a very long time to get into a match, quit out of matchmaking and go back into “Find a Match”. Even though this adds an extra step, we’ve found that it sometimes helps players get into matches quicker than continuing to wait.

Unfortunately those playing on an European account will have to wait for later in the weekend in order to receive the patch.

He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
