HBO's TV adaptation of The Last of Us, starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, has officially wrapped filming. With fans now eagerly awaiting a first trailer and release date.

Production began back in July of 2021, with Pedro Pascal taking on the role of Joel, who serves as the main protagonist throughout the first game. Bella Ramsey will be portraying Ellie throughout the series, who many will know went on to become the main protagonist of The Last of Us: Part II.

It's been a big week for fans of The Last of Us, as the opening night of Summer Game Fest saw Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann confirm the existence of a part one remake. Simply titled 'The Last of Us: Part I', Naughty Dog has re-built the first entry in the series from the ground up, with a release date of September 2nd for PlayStation 5 and a PC version currently in development.

Fans are hopeful that with a remake hitting consoles this September, a release date for the HBO show could be around the same time, especially as filming is now officially a wrap.
