The Last Story Gets Its First Trailer

I’m amazed at the apparent quality of the JRPGs coming to the Wii in the near future, and The Last Story doesn’t fail to impress in that regard. I hardly believe this is a Wii title, to be honest. This is the latest RPG from the amazing Mistwalker team (Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey). They tend to take the time to do things right and innovate at the same time.

In the trailer (after the break) you’ll see a lot of game play, including some possible cover mechanics that may make this action RPG even more interesting if done correctly. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, I’m glad I waited to buy a Wii, and that I did it this year, because there are some amazing-looking RPGs set to hit that console that I don’t think I’ll be able to pass up. This is one of them.

The title is being published by Nintendo in Japan, and likely in the U.S., as well, although no Western release has been confirmed.
