The Last Story is Coming to North America This Year

February 22, 2012

We’ve watched, we’ve waited, we’ve crossed our fingers… and Nintendo has listened to our pleas. The company is partnering with publisher Xseed to bring Mistwalker’s Wii RPG The Last Story to North America.

During today’s Nintendo Direct video conference, Nintendo of America head honcho Reggie Fils-Aime made the announcement that the RPG, directed by Final Fantasy veteran Hironobu Sakaguchi, will be localized and prepared for release in the U.S. this summer. This summer!

The Last Story tells the tale of a mercenary group and their greatest journey, an adventure the likes of which none of them has experienced before.

Well done, Operation Rainfall. First Xenoblade, and now The Last Story. That just goes to show that if you truly want something, you’ve got to be loud. Time to dust off your Wii, kids!
