The deluxe edition of Trails into Reverie comes with the game, a digital soundtrack, and a mini art book, while the limited edition is overstuffed with physical goodies such as the Legends of Zemuria hardcover art book, Songs of Reverie soundtrack, Three & Nine: A Trails Tale novel, The End and the Beginning acrylic print, as well as a steelbook and a collector's box. Preorders for both editions will open on the NISA Europe Store beginning October 27 at noon BST (which translates to 7 a.m. Eastern and 4 a.m. Pacific).

Trails into Reverie is currently available in Japan as Hajimari no Kiseki (創の軌跡). Hajimari means "the beginning" in Japanese, which desribes the significance of this entry as a transitional phase between the old and the new. For the first time, 3D cutscenes, rather than 2D animations, were used for the openings, and unlike previous entries, players are able to explore three separate story paths using a combination of old and new protagonists who are all key players in the grand narrative of the series.

Trails into Reverie Main Protagonists, Rean, Lloyd and C

On October 22, NIS America will host a Twitch panel as well, featuring eight voice actors from past Trails games to answer any questions for viewers, starting at 5 p.m. Eastern, 1 p.m. Pacific, and 10 p.m. British Summer Time; and on October 23 at 7 a.m. AEST. Moreover, a couple of merchandise products were made available on the official website, such as plushies for all three main characters — Lloyd Bannings, Rean Schwarzer, and the mysterious "C" — and a big 1000-piece puzzle with all the members of the cast. A single plushie will cost $34.99, while the puzzle will cost $27.99.

Currently, there are two Trails localizations happening in 2023 in addition to Trails into Reverie. Trails to Azure, which will be releasing next March for both North American and European markets, and The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails, which is also slated for release next year after receiving a remastered Japanese release in 2021. Of the modern platform games, that only leaves out the original Trails in the Sky trilogy. However, in a recent interview, the director has already expressed his intent to remake these games into 3D, or at least to bring them to consoles in any possible way.
