The Legend of Vox Machina has just premiered on Amazon Prime Video, but where do you recognise some of the voice cast and guest stars from?

As is the case with any animated series, its success rests on the performances of the voice cast.

Thankfully, in The Legend of Vox Machina, expertly written dialogue and character design have given ample opportunity to the voice cast to truly make this series their own.

The first three episodes may have just launched on Amazon Prime Video, but viewers are starting to recognise some of The Legend of Vox Machina voice cast and special guests from previous projects.

The Legend of Vox Machina voice cast…

The Legend of Vox Machina features a stellar cast of voice actors from Critical Role who fans of animation will certainly recognise from their other projects.

Vex’ahlia ‘Vex’ Vessar is voiced by Laura Bailey, who is best-known for voicing Kid Trunks in the English dubbing of Dragon Ball Z. Bailey has also given her voice to the English dubbing of Fruits Basket (Tohru Honda), Fullmetal Alchemist (Lust), One Piece (Conis) and Naruto (Anko Mitarashi). She has also featured in Monster High (multiple roles), RWBY (Amber) and Rick and Morty (Eli’s girlfriend).

Taliesin Jaffe voices Percival "Percy" Fredrickstein Von Musel Klossowski de Rolo III in The Legend of Vox Machina. Jaffe has played various characters in English anime dubbings, including One Piece (Basil), Fairy Tail (Skiadrum) and Hellsing Ultimate (Wild Geese). Jaffe has also featured in various video games, including World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy, Smite and Hearthstone.

Ashley Johnson plays Pike Trickfoot in The Legend of Vox Machina, with the 38-year-old being a veteran of traditional television, rather than anime dubbing. Johnson has featured in the likes of Lionheart (1990), The Avengers (2012), King of the Hill (2004), Infinity Train (2019) and Ben 10: Ultimate Alien (2010).

Matthew Mercer as Trinket, is someone that anime fans will almost certainly recognise. The 39-year-old has voiced the likes of Levi in Attack on Titan, Jotaro from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Hit from Dragon Ball Super and Kagaya in Demon Slayer.

Liam O'Brien voices Vax'ildan "Vax" Vessar and similar to the other cast members for The Legend of Vox Machina, has widespread experience both in television voice acting, anime dubbing and video game voice acting. Notable roles include Gaara from Naruto, Nephrite in Sailor Moon and Rezo from Slayers, other appearances have come through Amphibia, Star Wars Rebels, Carmen Sandiego and Avengers Assemble.

Marisha Ray as Keyleth of the Air Ashari, is a voice actress and producer who is best-known for her roles in The Legend of Heroes, Trails of Cold Steel, Persona Q and Metal Gear: Survival. She has also featured in the likes of 1000 Ways to Die, School of Thrones and Far Cry New Dawn.

Sam Riegel as Scanlan Shorthalt, is arguably the most experienced member of The Legend of Vox Machina’s team, appearing in countless anime, television series, films and video games. His most notable roles are from Naruto, One-Punch Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Ducktales and Winx Club.

Travis Willingham voices Grog Strongjaw and is another veteran of the voice acting industry. The 40-year-old has featured in the anime dubbings of Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, One Piece and Bleach. Willingham has also played roles for Fast & Furious: Spy Racers, Avengers Assemble, Guardians of the Galaxy and Ben 10 television shows.

The Legend of Vox Machina will also feature various special guest stars, who will play some of the side characters in the first season.

The biggest names on the guest list are Stephanie Beatriz (Lady Kima), David Tennant (General Krieg) and Dominic Monaghan (Archibald Desnay).
