In an announcement made today by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, The Lego Movie 2 Videogame will be making its way digitally and physically to PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and PC on February 26, 2019. If you own a Switch, you will, unfortunately, have to wait a little longer for the retail version when it releases on March 26, 2019.

The Lego Movie 2 Videogame, which is developed by TT Games, is based on all the goings-on from the movie, so if you're a fan I'm sure this title will be right up your street. It will feature 100 characters extracted from both Lego movies and we will see the return of Chris Pratt in his role of Emmett, as well as Lucy, Batman, and some new characters from The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. Arthur Parsons, who is Head of Design at TT Games Studios explains in more detail:

“Packed with fan-favorite and exciting new characters, mysterious locations and action from both the sequel and the original blockbuster The LEGO® Movie, The LEGO® Movie 2 Videogame is a wild adventure for kids to explore...”

“...Players must scour the stars for rare items, materials and tools to complete their collections and help their journey across the LEGO® universe, experiencing a wide array of amazing environments, wacky vehicles and incredible creatures along the way.”

With alien monster invaders leaving  Bricksburg in ruins and having to save your friends from the strange inhabitants of the Systar System, you can guarantee that it will be a lot of entertainment and enjoyment for the whole family. It will be interesting to see how this compares to the other titles, nonetheless, I'm sure this will supply hours of fun for kids and adults alike.
