George A. Romero, one of the true masters of horror, presents the APP of the DEAD, developed along with Additive Interactive. The APP of the DEAD lets iPhone and iPod Touch owners turn their friends into Zombies will debut in the coming weeks. The man behind such classics as Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, and Creepshow, brings his impressive resume to the App Store. Use any existing galleries or new photo, add grisly scars and bloody wounds to make your own movie magic. Just pictures you ask? Oh no, the APP of the DEAD comes complete with it's own first person shooter feature. Oh yeah, make them up and then blow them away!

APP of the DEAD features include:

• Take photos of your friends or import them from the photo gallery, then add over 20 zombie features, including open wounds, weapons, and a gallery of deformed eyes and mouths.
• A custom-built engine that allows players to “shoot” the zombies they’ve created, including spectacular blood-splatter.
• Save your zombies to your iPhone, then upload to to Facebook, other social networking sites, or email them to friends.
