The Long Gate Releases on PC in September
The Long Gate is a new indie puzzler that is set to launch on PC and Linux on September 22.
One of the most mind-bending puzzle games of 2020 now officially has a launch date.
Announced via a new press release, The Long Gate is now confirmed to be arriving in a little under two months and will release on September 22, 2020. Initially, the game will launch for PC and Linux, with a version for Mac planned to come about later on. All versions of the title will also be releasing exclusively through Steam, too.
The Long Gate was one of the many upcoming projects that were featured in the Steam Summer Game Festival earlier this year in June. The demo lets players proceed through the game’s opening levels, where you were introduced to some of the core gameplay mechanics that it offers up.
While The Long Gate might just seem like any other puzzle game at first, the types of puzzles it actually asks you to solve are quite different. David Shaw, the game’s developer, modeled all of the puzzles after circuits. The Long Gate includes three different types of puzzles which include digital, analog, and quantum. It might seem a bit jarring at first, but the game’s demo, in particular, did a good job of introducing these various formats to the player.
