Just announced at The Kinda Funny Games Showcase, The Messenger, one of the best games to have released this year, is receiving more content sometime next year.

The free expansion titled, The Messenger Picnic Panic, includes three new levels, more bosses, callbacks, and more. This might just be the best excuse to pop back into this excellent game or maybe purchase the game if you still haven’t gotten it.

If you would like to take a glimpse at some of the new content included in the free expansion, you can view the announcement trailer in the tweet below.

As one of the best indie titles this past year, this game is definitely on my backlog to finish sometime soon.

If you still have not picked up the game, now would be a great time to do so. It is currently still $6 dollars off in the Nintendo eShop due to The Game Awards sale. The Messenger is currently available on Nintendo Switch and PC.
