Following the game’s release on Steam in September 2016, the developers of The Metronomicon announced today that the game will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime in 2017.

The Metronomicon is a mash-up of a rhythm game and a RPG, featuring turn-based combat combined with traditional rhythm tracks, side quests, unlockable and equippable gear, and a strong sense of humor. The game modes include arena challenges, daily quests, and a freeplay mode.

The following description provided by the game’s developers, Akupara Games and Puuba, delves into the game’s plot and humorous tone.

“Mysterious dance parties are crashing down around the world of Koras, summoning dangerous party monsters wherever they fall. A group of heroes, trained in the rhythmic combat arts, must bring peace back to their world. Using the Metronomicon, a tome of immense musical power, they embark upon a daring quest spanning rock star-haunted castles, medieval party yachts and other rocking locations.”

The Metronomicon has received an overwhelmingly positive response on Steam since its debut.
