Today, Manchester-based developer White Paper Games -- the team behind Ether One -- announced that its upcoming game, The Occupation, has picked up a publisher in the form of Humble Bundle.

As you may remember, back in February, the digital storefront known for its charitable donations, announced it was entering the publishing world, with a multi-million dollar investment to publish both small and large games across PC, consoles, and mobile platforms.

Some of the games Humble Bundle is helping to publish, include, A Hat in Time, Mineko's Night Market, and Aegis Defenders.

For those that don't know: The Occupation is a politically driven, first-person narrative game set in 1980's North-West England where you play as a whistleblowing journalist.

A terrorist attack has left 23 dead and has become a catalyst for the creation of The Union Act, a controversial piece of legislation that threatens the civil liberties of the British population. The next four hours will determine the outcome of act, as well as the future of the country.

In the game, events happen in real-time where you need to make decisions based on the evidence you have gathered. The question is: is the cost of an extreme action outweighed by the cause of the greater good? You are the reporter, and you will decide the narrative.

The Occupation is in development for PC, while console versions remain up in the air. A concrete release date has not yet been provided. If you haven't already, be sure to check out the game's tense announcement trailer.
