Today Sony Computer Entertainment and Ready at Dawn released the photo mode of The Order 1886, but how powerful is it?

Turns out it's definitely powerful, and once you use it, you'll see the game's graphics and fantastically detailed world in a completely different perspective.

Below you can see a batch of 74 screenshots I took, showing just how different the game can look when you detach yourself from the third person-over the shoulder perspective.

There are quite a few open areas in which you can zoom all the way back, and just marvel at the beautiful Victorian London Ready at Dawn created.

Be warned, though, that some of the screenshots include gore (a lot of it) and may not be considered safe for work in some workplaces.

Incidentally, if you think you can do better (and you very possibly can), Sony launched a photo mode contest that will let you win the following prizes:

  • First Prize: Each winner will have their winning screenshot printed out on high quality paper and signed by members of the Ready At Dawn development team. Also, a The Order: 1886 T-Shirt + The Order: 1886 Swag Pack (Notebook, Keychain, Snuff Box, and Mug).
  • Second Prize: Each winner will receive a The Order: 1886 T-Shirt + The Order: 1886 Swag Pack (Notebook, Keychain, Snuff Box, and Mug).
  • Third Prize: Each winner will receive a The Order: 1886 Swag Pack (Notebook, Keychain, Snuff Box, and Mug).

In order to participate, you just have to follow the rules here.

But without further ado, I leave you with the gallery.
