Episode 2 of the series introduces Makeup Boy, who is highly popular among the girls for his knowledge of fashion. Girls are crazy about Makeup Boy, except for Penny Proud. She understands that Makeup Boy is nothing but a product of social media influence.
In order to prove her point that anything can get viral on social media, she creates a video called 'Growing Up Proud'. Surprisingly, the video gets viral, and she becomes more famous than the Makeup Boy. Penny uses her new power to ruin Makeup-Boy's career, boycott LaCienega, send away Suga Mama and her teacher. Maya teaches a lesson to Penny by creating a video of her father being paid by Wizard Kelly and airing the video on social media.
Penny realizes that she misused her powers, and she needs to apologize to people she mistreated. Penny encounters Makeup Boy, who surprisingly thanks Penny for helping him get over the tipsiness of fame. Finally, Penny reaches home, and Suga Mama also returns, all muscular now and ready to teach a lesson to Oscar.
