Your Sims 4 NPCs are about to get a complete progression overhaul in this week's 'Neighborhood Stories' update, bringing more life to Sims that live outside of your active household.

What Is The Sims 4 Neighborhood Stories?
Neighborhood Stories is a new update that was revealed in a recent developer live stream. According to The Sims 4 Blog Post on the upcoming update, the aim is to bring more life to NPCs, making for more immersive gameplay.
The new update allows players to influence their Neighbors to consider certain life changes, such as a new career path. But NPCs can now also autonomously make these decisions themselves, as well as by being influenced by other sims.
But don't worry if you don't want your neighborhood sims to make a decision themselves, as they'll always ask you before making a decision. Your sim can either say "Yes", "No", or leave it to the NPC to decide.
There are also two new aspirations being added in the upcoming update, 'Neighborhood Confidante' and 'Villainous Valentine'. More details on the new aspirations and a full breakdown of the new gameplay features can be found on The Sims 4 website.

The Sims 4 Neighborhood Stories Update Release Time and Date
The official release date for The Sims 4 Neighborhood Stories update is Tuesday, November 30th, 2021.
Unfortunately, an exact release time for the upcoming The Sims 4 update hasn't been revealed. But, based on previous update release times, we can assume that the November 30th patch will go live at 10AM PT / 1PM ET / 6PM GMT.
The time mentioned above is when all previous updates and DLC pieces have arrived for The Sims 4, so we don't expect anything to be different this time. However, should a release time be revealed that differs from the one mentioned above, we will update this article.
