We're less than two weeks away from the launch of Vanguard Season One and the beginning of Warzone Pacific, and we can't wait to jump into the new Caldera map.

Although Call of Duty fans are eager to finally play on a new Warzone map after 2 years of Verdansk, there are plenty of questions surrounding the size of Caldera, the upcoming Pacific map.

Activision has released various images of Caldera, as well as a look at the full map, but have never actually discussed the scale of how big Warzone's Pacific map will be compared to Verdansk. Many in the community, such as ModernWarzone, have previously stated that Caldera is expected to be roughly the same size as Verdansk.

However, a new image of Caldera has appeared in the 'Secrets of The Pacific' event that appears to show a different version of the map, one that actually looks larger in size compared to the one we're getting on December 8th.

Warzone's Caldera Map Appears To Be Smaller In Size

Spotted by ModernWarzone, an image of Caldera appears in the new 'Secrets of the Pacific' event. A new Warzone and Vanguard event that aims to get players ready for Caldera by having them complete challenges for "intel" on the upcoming map.

However, we've already got an image of the final Caldera map, shown in the tweet below on the right-hand side, and it appears to be smaller in size compared to the image in the new event.

It appears that the image of the map that appears in the Secrets of The Pacific event was the original design, which is larger in size and even has water sources flowing through the top portion of the map. For some unknown reason, it looks like Caldera was slightly reduced in size and shape, making it more in line with the scale of Verdansk.

You can check out the comparison of the original and final design below, courtesy of ModernWarzone.
