With the release of past titles like Thomas Was Alone and Subsurface Circular, Bithell Games has been known for experimenting with smaller narrative experiences in-between bigger titles like Volume and John Wick Hex. As teased earlier in the week, the studio has another new title on the horizon that fits that more experimental mold and might be its most interesting yet, called The Solitaire Conspiracy.Developer Mike Bithell announced the release of The Solitaire Conspiracy on Twitter, which Bithell described as "what if Solitaire, but extra, with powers, and a full FMV storied campaign, time attack and skirmish modes!" Bithell also confirmed that the title will be making its debut through Steam and the Epic Games Store on October 6, 2020.

According to the game's Steam page, The Solitaire Conspiracy will show the events after the destruction of an underground spy organization known as Protego. The player will take on the role of utilizing "C.A.R.D.S." to bring together "Protego's scattered spy crews and save the world." The Steam page also features a trailer showcasing the upcoming title and its striking art direction, and also revealed that Kinda Funny's Greg Miller will be voicing Jim Ratio, an analyst at Protego that guides the player through their journey.

Tagged as "A Bithell Short," previously Bithell Games has surprise released several games in this style that are meant to be shorter, narrative-driven experiences that are meant to be completed in a few hours, such as Subsurface Circular and Quarantine Circular. However, Bithell noted that due to the circumstances of "2020," the game will be releasing in a few weeks to gear up for launch.

The Solitaire Conspiracy will launch for PC on October 6, 2020.
