We are less than two months away from the launch of Deck13 and Focus Home Interactive's The Surge 2 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. I had the chance to try out the first four hours of the game earlier this month, and now a new gameplay trailer that shows some of the areas in that demo has been released.

This video not only shows some of the game's early areas like downtown Jericho City, but it highlights a lot of the game's bosses as well. While The Surge was an enjoyable Soulslike, it suffered from boring environments and enemies. My time playing the game and this trailer both cement the fact that this is definitely not the case with The Surge 2. Like the original, many of the game's environments are super interconnected, so this variety will definitely ensure that moment to moment gameplay is a bit more lively this time around.

The Surge 2's new gameplay trailer also showcases some of the more brutal enemy finisher attacks that will chop off entire limbs. Of course, this is necessary if you want to get the schematics and scraps required to get new armor. The trailer also shows off tons of the different armor sets players will have access to, if that's a big draw for you. If you want to see some extended gameplay, Deck13 and Focus Home Interactive released a 9 minute gameplay video last month.

You can check out the full trailer below. On September 24, The Surge 2 will launch for PC, PS4, and Xbox One and it can be pre-ordered on Amazon right now.
