With Red Dead Redemption 2 warming up the saddle for release later this year and Desperados 3 preparing to put an RTS spin on the western genre, The Surge intends on taking the same setting in a completely different and possibly silly direction.

Focus Interactive released a teaser trailer for the upcoming DLC pack called The Good, The Bad and The Augmented which only shows enough to whet the appetite for its upcoming release. It opens up with a shot which pans across the corpses of dead men and their horses before closing in on Warren wearing a mix of traditional cowboy attire and cybernetic enhancements. As the camera pulls back we see a classic wild west saloon with a sinister robotic figure darkening its doorway.

The Good, The Bad and The Augmented is the latest DLC update since April's The Cutting Edge. It will allow you to challenge Dr. Rischboter's western-themed test chambers as you travel into an abandoned CREO facility. The expansion will feature a number of challenges along with 30 new pieces of equipment you can use to customize your play-style.

The intense action-RPG The Surge is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, while The Good, The Bad and The Augmented will be arriving on October 2, 2018. The sequel The Surge 2 is also in the works and booked for release sometime next year.
