You may not know the name Lance Henriksen, but millions of gamers around the world would immediately recognize his voice as that of Admiral Hackett in the Mass Effect series. In a recent interview with G4 TV he sat down to talk about the upcoming extended ending DLC, which is currently planned to be released sometime this summer.

When asked about the DLC Henriksen said, “We did a whole series of things to add to the end of the game, to live up to the quality that they’ve been doing.” He seemed to believe that the way the ending was presented was an oversight because players are used to the hero dying being game over, you loose, causing many players to feel defeated when the game cut to the credits.

He called the whole ending controversy "an oversight" which leads hopefully lends credence to my personal theory that BioWare was rushed, but hey at this point we all have our crazy conspiracy theories about Mass Effect 3. Hopefully when the new DLC is released in a few months it will clear things up.
