Last month when Episode 3 of The Walking Dead: The Final Season arrived, we reported that the in-game menu stated that the fourth and final episode of this series would seemingly launch on March 26. Despite this listing though, Skybound Games had yet to comment on if this was the true date or simply a placeholder.

Well as of today, that release date has now been confirmed. Skybound verified this morning that March 26 will indeed be the day in which The Walking Dead: The Final Season's fourth episode, titled Take Us Back, will be releasing across Xbox One, PS4, Switch, and PC. After years, this will mark the end of Clementine's journey. It will also surely provide some closure for Telltale Games and its former staff members who are still working at Skybound Games to finish this series. Despite being shuttered in the middle of this season, it's great to see that the project was able to be finished, largely by the original team that worked on the game at Skybound.

In addition to this release date, Skybound Games also announced today that new physical versions of The Walking Dead: The Final Season will also be arriving with the game's final episode. Physical editions of The Walking Dead will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. Skybound says this version of the game will be available at all major retailers in addition to being for sale in its own online storefront. If you're still into physical collections, this seems like a good fit for you.

Lastly, Skybound also announced today that it will be attending PAX East in Boston next month. If you'd like to meet some of the team behind TWD and you're going to be at the convention, feel free to swing by Skybound's booth.

Personally, I've been holding out on playing The Walking Dead: The Final Season until all of its episodes were available, so I'm excited to finally jump in with this in a month or two. To hold you over until release, be sure to check out our review of Episode 3 which we thought set things up well for the final episode.
