The Walking Dead: Season 3 Premieres December 20; First Look at The Game Awards

A good amount of time has passed since players saw Clementine with Telltale’s The Walking Dead series, though the wait is nearly over as the studio has announced the release date for the upcoming third season of the episodic series.

In a press release, Telltale Games has announced that the first episode for The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – A New Frontier (Season 3 of the episodic series) will release on December 20th, 2016 for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, PC, iOS, and Android.

Along with the digital release of the first episode in late December, Telltale also detailed that a retail version of A New Frontier will be available on February 7th, 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One, with the “Season Pass Disc” including the first episode and a code to redeem for the remaining four episodes as they are released. Currently, the game can be pre-ordered on PS4 and purchasers there will also receive bonus copies of The Walking Dead: Season 2 and The Walking Dead: Michonne for free – PC users on Steam can pre-order the title and receive a 10% discount.

An extended first look at the premiere episode will be showcased at The Game Awards 2016, live on stage, during the show’s broadcast on December 1st, 2016. A full description of what the third season of The Walking Dead will entail can be found below:

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – A New Frontier will debut on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, PC, iOS, and Android on December 20th, 2016.
