In just over a week, the epic conflict between Master Chief and Spartan Locke will kick off in Halo 5: Guardians, though those looking to have a little bit of some Halo-infused fun can go to Minecraft this week for some Halo 5: Guardians-inspired costumes.

Microsoft announced a new update coming to the Minecraft: Halo Edition mash-up pack DLC, which will include new skins from the upcoming Halo 5: Guardians for $3.99. The new skin pack will be updated as part of the original Halo mash-up pack DLC, while those buying the pack for the first time will also get the new Halo 5-themed skins automatically.

Crafted by 4J Studios, the original pack includes "a Halo-themed texture set, themed menus and user interface, craft-able items and 31 music tracks across the Halofranchise," while the new update is arriving on Friday, October 23rd, 2015 and will bring the following new skins to Minecraft on both Xbox One and Xbox 360:

Blue Team:

  • Spartan-117 The Master Chief
  • Spartan-104 Fredric
  • Spartan-087 Kelly
  • Spartan-058 Linda

Fireteam Osiris:

  • Spartan Locke
  • Spartan Buck
  • Spartan Tanaka
  • Spartan Vale

Halo 5: Guardians releases for Xbox One on October 27th, 2015, but in the meantime you can dive in to Minecraft on either Xbox One or Xbox 360 for some Halo-related fun with the updated Halo Edition DLC on October 23rd, 2015.
