The Wheel of Time is finally close to its official release on Amazon Prime Video, and here's everything you need to know about the upcoming series' release schedule.

Developed by Rafe Judkins, The Wheel of Time is an upcoming American fantasy show based on a novel series by Robert Jordan. The show follows Moiraine, a member of the Aes Sedai organization that consists of women who are magicians.

Moiraine takes five people under her wing, believing that one of them might be the reincarnation of the dragon. And this one person can stop the Dark One and his army from destroying the world.

Amazon's The Wheel of Time wrapped filming the first season in May 2021, and now, it's almost time for fans to find out what the upcoming fantasy show has to offer.

When Does The Wheel of Time Come Out?

Release Date

Sony Pictures Television and Amazon Studios confirmed that Season 1 of The Wheel of Time would premiere on Friday, November 19th, 2021.

The fantasy series will be available to watch exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. So, make sure you get a subscription to the streaming service if you don't want to miss the premiere.

Interestingly, The Wheel of Time will premiere with the release of the first three episodes, and it will follow a weekly release schedule after that.

Release Time

Amazon doesn't reveal the release time for every upcoming TV show or movie. However, the platform usually updates the library with new releases at midnight GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). So, if it follows the same release pattern, you'll get the first three episodes of The Wheel of Time at 4 PM PST on Thursday, November 18th, 2021.

Of course, we'll update this post if the release time is different, but if the timing remains unchanged, here's when you can expect the show to arrive in these time zones:

  • Pacific Timing: 4 PM PST (November 18)
  • Central Timing: 6 PM CST (November 18)

Amazon Studios confirmed that Season 1 of The Wheel of Time would consist of eight episodes. So, after the premiere, we'll have five more episodes to look forward to before the first season comes to an end. Anyway, the titles for the first six episodes are already out; here you go:
