I'm not sure there will ever be a time where we get tired of The Witcher 3. Not only is it an exceptional game that sold around 28 million copies worldwide, but the Netflix show also was such a big hit among fans that then saw The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt reach a new all-time high concurrent player count on Steam. But amidst all the hype for the game, there's still one thing that Witcher fans want and that's a special edition Witcher Switch - or Switcher if you will. Thanks to Reddit user Swervito who took it upon themselves to give the people what they want and designed a custom The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt-inspired Switch Lite.

We just don't have enough redesigned Nintendo Switch consoles, that's a fact. The most recent Animal Crossing edition is one of very few the company has brought out and that's almost impossible to come across due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Before that, we saw the likes of a Pokémon Nintendo Switch, Super Smash Bros Switch, and a Diablo III Eternal themed ones but what about a Witcher 3 themed one, damn it! Well, since it doesn't look like we'll get one anytime soon, it's left to the fans as usual to meet our needs and boy, do I wish this was real. Swervito has taken to photoshop to craft a beautiful custom red and white "The Switcher Lite", complete with deep crimson buttons and a red silhouette of Geralt and Roach caressed against a pale backdrop. Swervito has created such a simplistic and clean design that isn't cluttered with too much graphic placement with also the Switch logo clearly present on the back - it's no wonder this redesign blew up to 12k upvotes on Reddit.

I would love to see Nintendo take some inspiration from Swervito's custom made The Witcher 3 Switch lite impression and adapt more beloved games into their Switch designs but as of right now, we will just have to make do with staring longingly at this beauty. In the meantime, talented fans will keep on producing some incredible Switch designs and long may it continue.

If you can't get enough of The Witcher's Geralt and Yennefer and also enjoy anime, you'll probably enjoy Illustrator and concept artist Carolina Oliveira's recreation of the pair as anime characters among other familiar faces from the hit Netflix show. If you also enjoy a bit of mobile gaming, CD Projekt Red announced a few weeks ago that Android users can finally get in on the action and give Gwent: The Witcher Card Game a go. The Android version of Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is a turn-based card game between two players, with each game taking three rounds. Each player must play one card each turn from a deck of at least twenty-five cards. Each deck belongs to a faction that offers different play styles. As someone who’s pretty much addicted to it, I can say that I’m really enjoying it quite a lot.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
