CD Projeck has just announced that they have decided to delay the release of their upcoming RPG, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The title was due out later this year but will now be released in February of 2015.

The company said that it is trying to make the best game possible and one that utilizes all of their years of knowledge. Their game is vast and expansive with a heavy focus on narrative and on character development. With so much going into making this game, CD Projeck feels that they need extra time to fine tune things so that they can deliver on their promises.

Delaying a game may seem bad for gamers and stockholders but if it means a game that’s free of defects then it shouldn’t be a problem. Personally speaking, I’m tired of seeing games riddled with bugs and glitches because the developer rushed it out before thoroughly testing it. As far as I’m concerned, this is a good thing and people should be happy that they’ll get a game that’s as polished as could be.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
