The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on the Nintendo Switch will be getting a patch sometime soon as Saber Interactive has confirmed that work on the patch is underway. The comment from the developers who helped port the game to the Nintendo Switch comes from a VK thread in the comments of news about a game completely unrelated to The Witcher.

Saber Interactive shared a post back on December 18 detailing how the developers of World War Z will be involved in the development of Killing Floor 2. However, the comments were all focused on wondering when a patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was due to land for Nintendo Switch users. On December 25, Saber Interactive commented to address the questions by stating, "Добрый день! Работа над патчем кипит, в скором времени все обязательно будет!"

Now, if you're wondering what that means, Reddit user s7ealth provided a translation which seems more accurate than Google Translate. "Greetings! We're working hard on the update, everything will be ready soon!"

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt landed on the Switch on October 15, and while it has been adored by fans, there have been numerous fans expressing issues with the port, some we brought up in our look at the Switch version of the game. On the Reddit thread, users have been reporting that they've experienced crashes, green screens, and performance issues in specific areas in the game's world.

There hasn't been much information since December about the upcoming patch, but that's understandable due to the holiday period. With the lack of information what the patch will fix, we can only assume it'll be to fix some of the performance issues and crashes users have been experiencing.

We'll keep eyes out for news surrounding the patches release and what it intends to fix. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
