Even after a slew of "Game of the Year" awards and its first expansion releasing last year, there is still plenty more for players to uncover with the second expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on the way, and new cover art giving a brief glimpse at what to expect from "Blood and Wine."

Developer CD Projekt RED revealed the official cover/key artwork for the upcoming second expansion for The Witcher 3, titled "Blood and Wine," with the series protagonist Geralt seen in a royal pose, but with danger still lurking around the corner at every turn for him.

Following previous reports that the second expansion may be releasing on June 7th, 2016 (from a leak by a Polish retailer), CD Projekt RED addressed on Twitter that the release date for the second expansion has not been confirmed just yet by the studio, though the company did state that "Blood and Wine" will release in the "first half of 2016 for sure."

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
