The Witcher 3’s Patch 1.05 Not Coming Today; PC Version Might Get PS4 Controller Support and More

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been out in the wild for a while, and you probably already know that I love it, but CD Projekt RED is still hard at work to refine the snags that have been marring the experience for some. Community Coordinator Marcin Momot keeps giving information on what we can expect.

Unfortunately, if you were waiting eagerly for patch 1.05 on PC (Which Momot previously mentioned would come today or tomorrow), it won’t happen today:

Momot also explained on the official forums why we’re not getting the patch, which is “extremely large,” today:

“Please keep in mind that the patch is extremely large. It addresses a bunch of issues so we need to test it properly. We don’t want to fix some stuff, while breaking other.”

Interestingly, he provided some information on a broader spectrum, like the fact that CD Projekt RED hopes to introduce native support for the DualShock 4 on PC.

Unfortunately the glitch that causes Xbox One users to occasionally lose save games doesn’t seem to have fully been squashed, but the team is investigating.

CD Projekt actually tried to design some headgear that would cover Geralt’s wild mane:

If you were hoping to get Yennefer’s original outfit as a skin, unfortunately that’s not going to happen:
