The Witcher series has captured the imaginations of fans for a decade with its huge, epic world, with a new fan film inspired by the series taking on the battles that Geralt has faced throughout his journeys.

A newly-released fan film inspired by The Witcher series is available now (free on YouTube), with the film showcasing an epic battle between Geralt, Triss, and a fearsome foe that they have to cut down with blades and fireballs.

The fan film is unofficial and has no direct involvement with developer CD Projekt RED, but does have a neat tie to the series with actor Ben Schamma - also known as Maul Cosplay - playing the role of Geralt. Schamma has previously been hired by CD Projekt RED as their official cosplayer for Geralt at events such as Gamescom and E3, so it's cool to see an officially sanctioned Geralt being portrayed on the small screen.

The Witcher fan film is directed by Leo Kei Angelos and produced by Erika Rodgers, who also starred in the short as Triss Merigold. While short, the fan film definitely captures a lot of what players love about The Witcher series, and also features some exceptional cinematography and editing to bring the world of the games to life.

The most recent release from CD Projekt RED from the series was last year's expansion The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine, which introduced the brand new world of Toussaint and effectively concluded the story of Geralt of Rivia.
