The Witcher Fan Film Gets a Premiere Date in New Trailer
A new trailer for The Witcher Fan Film just dropped and it includes a premiere date. Here's hoping the Netflix series is as good as this looks!
A little fam film has quietly been in the works while The Witcher Netflix series has had our attention. It’s called Alzur’s Legacy–and it looks awesome.
The Polish film just got a new trailer complete with a premiere date. It’s slated for Nov. 30, 2019. You definitely want to check it out if you’re unfamiliar with the project.
Non-polish speakers will have to rely on subtitles, but you don’t have to be fluent in the language to see how well this film captures the essence of Andrzej Sapkowski’s creation. I even think this trailer looks better than some of the things we’ve seen from the official Netflix series, and I think that looks good, too.
Scrolling down through the description will reveal just how many hands are on deck here. This clearly isn’t amateur hour– there’s a serious cast and crew here with a lot of talent and love for The Witcher.
The film’s been in production for a few years now. It raised $7,424 through donations, surpassing its goal of $6,551. Check out its Facebook page to keep up to date on info leading up to the premiere.
The film will be roughly 80 minutes long. An earlier trailer released in June last year provides another look into its story.
It seems unlikely that we’ll get an English dub or release. Both trailers have at least some English translation in them though, so there will likely at least be subtitles when the film makes its way online.
Correction: This article mistakenly referred to a character in the trailer as Geralt. That mistake has been removed.
