Perfect for those sunny summer walks, The Witcher: Monster Slayer is set to be the must-have companion on the go this season.

Although different in many aspects, The Witcher: Monster Slayer builds on the same foundation as Pokemon Go but instead of catching lots of cute creatures, you’re tasked with hunting down fierce monsters that roam your world.

As you get to grips with the game’s world as well as implementing your own, receiving a helping hand in the form of gifts is always appreciated.

How to Get Gifts in The Witcher: Monster Slayer

Who doesn’t like getting presents? Even a Witcher needs a helping hand, right? To get your mitts on extra goodies, you’ll need to add a friend to the game. To do that, firstly ask your mate what their ID is and they can do that by clicking on ‘character’, ‘friends’ and then ‘add friends’. This will display their unique 12 digit number.

Once added and on the ‘friends’ tab, you will see that you can now send them gifts as well as receive some of your very own from them.

How to Use Gifts and Why you need them

In Monster Slayer, you can receive special packages when eliminating monsters that include potions, oils and other items but, unfortunately, you cannot use them yourself and can only send them on to those on your friend’s list.

However, when you receive a package from a friend, the contents of the gift will be placed straight into your ‘ingredients’ tab for you to craft all sorts of formula’s at your Crafting Station in the Alchemy section.

Gifting is a free bonus package that will help players out on their adventure so instead of buying items from the game’s shop or waiting to pick up a certain oil, potion etc from a fight, a friend can supply them to you straight away which saves a lot of time and effort.
