As one of Netflix's most anticipated upcoming series, a lot is riding on The Witcher to give fans of the long-running franchise a small screen adaptation that is worthy of both the original books it is based on and the beloved video game series from developer CD Projekt Red. What we've seen from the show so far makes it encouraging that it will deliver on that, and one artist took on the challenge of creating art that captures the essence of the show, its world, and character.

Graphic designer and artist Julien Rico Jr. created this fan-made poster in anticipation of Netflix's upcoming The Witcher series, crafted with a striking but bold minimalist style in black-and-white. The poster of course features Geralt of Rivia front and center, as played by Henry Cavill, along with Ciri, Yennefer, and the Wolf School medallion that Geralt wears as a Witcher.

While it's unknown just yet when The Witcher will land on Netflix exactly, December seems to be the most likely release window according to a recent tweet that may have leaked its premiere date. From what we saw of the series most recently at San Diego Comic Con, hopefully we won't have too much longer to wait until the first season arrives.

Netflix's The Witcher series is expected to debut later this year. For a closer look at the fan-made poster from Julien Rico Jr., you can check it out below:
