The Witcher Netflix Series Release Date Potentially Leaked
Expect to watch The Witcher come December if this leak proves to be true.
Netflix is set to release its new TV series based on The Witcher novels at some point before the end of 2019, but as of now, we’ve still been left in the dark when it comes to an actual release date. Based on a recent leak directly from Netflix though, it seems like we could now have a date to go off of.
In a new post from the official Netflix Netherlands account on Facebook, it was said that The Witcher will debut 97 days from when the post was published, which was yesterday, September 11. This means that the show would then premiere later this year on December 17. Since posting, Netflix Netherlands soon after deleted the message, seemingly proving that they may have jumped the gun just a bit.
While we obviously can’t verify if this date is true just yet, it does seem like a December release for The Witcher would make sense. Then again, with the series still being a few months out, things could change quickly. Perhaps part of the reason why Netflix hasn’t announced a launch date for the series just yet is because they might truly not know when it’ll be wrapped up. While filming on the show’s first season is obviously finished, it’s likely still in the editing and post-production phase as of now. Maybe Neftlix doesn’t want to commit to a hard date until all work has been finished.
Regardless of what the truth may be, we should hear more about the release date of The Witcher soon enough. If you’re anything like me, you’ll probably binge it once it arrives, too. Let’s just hope that Netflix does the source material justice.
